This valve is the result of studies on usability, at university. Several teams on the class have chosen different gas utilities. We choose a “butterfly”.
The next step was to analize the usability, do some research with real users and find negative aspects on actual market valves.

Then the problems, including security issues, ergonomy, aesthethics and usability, were put into a list, and served as a inspiration so we could solve them. Later it transcribed on what you can see right under.

House Of Mirrors:

This video had been created for the 4th exercise on Audiovisual Techniques of the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) course of Design.
The main guidelines were to use between 15 and 23 shots, characters passing by doors, and to study the axis and cuts.
We were a team on this project: Andrei Speridião, Lucas Morita, Rafael Makoto and Tiago Valentim.
Filmed using a simple Cybershot and an improvised tripod, in about 5h of filming.

On this multiplayer game you’re gonna race against other players around the world in real time. Customize your car for the race on the garage, where you can choose one of the 10 parts for each of the 10 customization categories like bumpers, spoilers, hoods, wheels and others, as well as car color. Win the challenges to unlock all the parts. On the race, use nitro to boost your engine, but stay aware of the thermometer. Catch Rexona packs along the track to keep the heat low. If your armpits reach the maximum heat, your car will explode.

A shopping cart web based race game, where you can choose between 10 tuned shopping carts and 3 characters for the race. All the website and the game are in portuguese, so here are some tips for you: “Pular” means “Skip”, “Jogar Agora” means “Play Now”, and “Jogar Novamente” means “Play Again”. The keys for playing are on the loading screen. My first project to win a FWA S.O.T.D.

Doritos Lovers are 3D avatars generated randomically, and released when you point the Augmented Reality marker on the back of Doritos Sweet Chili pack to your webcam. Once released, they interact with the Lovers of other users. We have made a social network application for orkut, where the Lovers can interact too. On the website you can use the AR marker on the pack again to take a picture with you Doritos Lover. This project was a very nice one to work. The avatar system that we created for this project is very complex if compared to what is currently used for 3D on web. The Lovers are made of several parts (legs, body, arms, faces, textures, a lot of accessories) that are rigged, skinned and animated separately. Using reference helpers, those parts are connected creating trillions (yes, trillions!) of Lovers possibilities.

- Transposing the highpoly model (not my creation) to the lowpoly viable to augmented reality.

Augmented Reality made for Axe/Lynx Instinct Brazilian website. The main character of the campaign, Rocco, was remade to link it to the famous game franchise, and with this AR application you can experience the virtual character merged with the real world through your webcam.
